MALONI HUMANOID 120 / Development diary.

Design and prototype preparation

Opening the development diary of a Czech humanoid for everyday people. Introducing the concept, the engineering stage and the route to a first prototype.

What have we done?

MALONI is preparing to manufacture its own Czech humanoids. For the first model, MALONI Humanoid 120, we have prepared a visual concept and a proposed internal layout. According to project lead Rostislav Sikora, the project is at the design and parts preparation stage. This entry opens our public record of its further development.

The first intended applications are education, conversation and interaction with people. A Czech humanoid for everyday people expresses our goal of a useful, accessible robot. No price has been set yet.

What is documented?

The published illustrations derive from two visual concept documents supplied by MALONI. They show the intended appearance with a wheeled base and a preliminary layout. They have been adapted with AI for public presentation, with internal notes removed. They are not photographs of a physical prototype or evidence of working capabilities.

Rostislav Sikora confirms the current stage, the Czech direction and his responsibility for the project. This entry does not present physical test results or completed manufacturing documentation.

What remains open?

  • Final mechanical design, dimensions and material selection.
  • Selection and integration of drives, electronics and power systems.
  • Weight, centre of gravity, stability and motion safety.
  • Manufacturing methods, costs and service access.

“120” is the model name; the concept’s target height is not a confirmed dimension of a finished product. Conversation, movement and interaction are development goals whose results will be published after verification.

What comes next?

The next planned step is to refine the mechanical design and select parts for the first prototype. Assembly, commissioning and testing are intended to follow. Dates for subsequent stages have not yet been published.

By a Czech humanoid, we mean our own Czech design and software development, with planned manufacturing or assembly in the Czech Republic. Selected components may come from abroad.

How does this connect to software development?

Earlier conversation and robot vision work in MuJoCo is related software development using models from other manufacturers. It does not itself demonstrate these capabilities on a physical MALONI Humanoid 120.
