Humanoid robot

A humanoid robot has a human-inspired body, such as a torso, arms and, on some platforms, two legs. Its shape does not determine its level of autonomy.

How it works

Control coordinates joints and sensors. A walking platform also needs balance control; manipulation depends on the hand, tooling and software.

Where to start

A platform can be evaluated for research, demonstrations or a specific pilot in a human-oriented environment. Each proposed activity needs separate validation.

Limits and what to verify

A demonstration video is not evidence of full-shift reliability. Reach, payload, operating time and interfaces depend on the model and configuration.
